A passing score of 173 points is generally required for those educators who opt to take the SLLA test in lieu of grad school, but each state's requirements differ slightly.

Typically, the SLLA is taken on the computer, though paper versions of the test may be available. Some portions of the computer version are interactive, requiring test takers to click and drag a graphic of their choosing.
