Understanding the PRAXIS exams
For those obtaining a teaching license, many will take the Praxis, which is a test comprised of Core subjects and Subject Assessments. Subject Assessments can be taken on over 90 specific subject areas including Health, Science, and Social Studies. The type of tests you take depends on your state's requirements and the teaching license you are receiving, and each state has different passing scores for the Praxis. Before you take the Praxis, utilize practice tests. Be sure to study for both the Core and Subject Assessment sections so you will be fully prepared. On test day, be sure to have the required documentation and be sure to answer all questions on the test so you will be able to pass with flying colors.
