Who is Georgia High School Graduation Tests ?

The GHSGT, or Georgia High School Graduation Test, was a test administered by the Georgia Department of Education to students in the state of Georgia. However, as of 2011, the GHSGT has been phased out and is no longer a graduation requirement for Georgia students.

Before its phase-out, the GHSGT covered the areas of mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. It was designed to measure the basic knowledge and skills every high school student in Georgia should have by the end of high school.

Due to its phase-out, there is no current procedure for taking the GHSGT. The Georgia Department of Education has replaced it with a different evaluation system known as the Georgia Milestones Assessment System. For more information about current graduation requirements and assessments in Georgia, you can visit the Georgia Department of Education website.

Here's how the process would have looked like:

Step 1: Eligibility and Application
Before the GHSGT was phased out, it was administered to students in their junior and senior years of high school. Students would automatically be registered for the exam by their school.

Step 2: Scheduling the Exam
The GHSGT was typically administered twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Students would be notified of the exact date and time by their school.

Step 3: Taking the Exam
On the day of the exam, students would take the GHSGT at their high school. The test was paper-based and consisted of multiple-choice questions.
