Who is American Midwifery Certification Board ?

The American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) is a national certifying body for midwives in the United States. They offer certification exams to ensure that midwives meet the highest professional standards.

Step 1: Eligibility and Application
To be eligible for the AMCB certification exam, you must have graduated from an accredited midwifery education program. You can apply for the exam through the AMCB's online portal. Be sure to submit all required documents and fees with your application. You can find more information about eligibility and application process on their website: https://www.amcbmidwife.org/

Step 2: Scheduling the Exam
Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) from the AMCB. This will allow you to schedule your exam at a PSI testing center. Tests are computer-based and are offered at more than 300 locations across the United States.

Step 3: Taking the Exam
On the day of the exam, arrive at your scheduled PSI testing center with a valid, government-issued ID. The exam consists of 175 multiple-choice questions and takes approximately four hours to complete.

Location Information
The AMCB certification exam is administered by PSI, a professional testing company. PSI has hundreds of testing centers across the United States. You can find the nearest testing center on the PSI website, or through the link provided on the AMCB website.
